Happy Pi Day!
In Math World, today is Pi Day because

But in Party World….it makes us think of all the fun ways to incorporate PIE into our plans!
If you love pie more than you love cake, then today’s post was written especially for you.
Maybe you love pie A LOT and want to feature multiple flavors for your guests to taste. If so, check out these tasty Pie Buffets!

Happy Pi Day!

Here in the South, we don’t see much snow (when it snows), and when it falls, it’s usually a mess and no one wants to drive, so we all joke about stocking up on milk and bread before any winter weather comes our way.  Maybe we’re all planning on having PB&J sandwiches with a glass of milk while the roads are icy, or maybe we’re all planning on having Milk Sandwiches while we have snow parties at home (because schools and offices usually shut down at least for a few hours). We’ve also heard that the bags that sandwich loaves come in make excellent waterproofing agents to keep toes dry in that wet snow.

…All that said, we think it’s time to plan a Snow Party!…

A Snow themed party would be fun on a day when you’re huddled inside because it’s too cold to go out and play, or it would be a fun theme for a winter birthday party, baby shower, wedding shower, or company get-together. At Deborah’s, we’re always brainstorming fun party activities, so we figured this week, we’d help you out with some delicious milk and bread snacks and a few fun snow games.

Check out some of the great ideas we’ve found (and some we’ve tried!) to host your own Snow Party!

This White Hot Chocolate looks tasty (and we’re tempted to try it this weekend whether it snows or not!) With only 3 ingredients (that you may already have assuming you picked up some milk this week), it would be a quick, delicious, warm treat for kids and adults.

While we’re thinking about white chocolate (doesn’t it make you think of snow??), check out this White Chocolate Bread Pudding (handy recipe to have around in case you manage to get an extra loaf before it’s all sold out).

As you’re sipping on hot cocoa and your bread pudding is cooking, run outside and set a clean bowl on the deck so you can collect the main ingredient for this next recipe….SNOW CREAM. There are several varieties of snow cream recipes floating around, but this is one we’ve used in the past and we love!

We love this idea of stringing some cereal and raisins on some yarn and decorating trees outside.  The birds and squirrels will love you, and the kids will have fun decorating! (Bonus: You won’t have to un-decorate like you just did for Christmas!)

As always, the forecast has been changing as the weekend approaches, so it may turn out that we only get lots of cold rain.  In that case, here’s a fun way to make your own “snow”!
In fact, this would be a fun activity for kids (or the perfect decoration) for a snow-themed party! We’ve been compiling a few ideas on our Pinterest board…like this gorgeous ribbon and crystal chandelier we can create for a snow-themed party in a tent!

You could even set up a fun photo booth with a “snow” backdrop and some fun snow themed props and get your guests to upload their pictures to Snapchat with a custom Snapchat filter designed for your party or wedding!

Assuming we get the winter weather we’ve seen forecast this week, stay safe and stay warm! (And maybe set a bowl out tonight, just in case 🙂 ).

It may be getting colder outside, but you can still have an outdoor party and stay warm! Today we’re sharing our four favorite ways to keep your wedding or party from having a chill when it’s sweater weather.

1
Tent….With “Walls”!
These are PERFECT for keeping the icy wind off the dance floor.
Tent sides can be solid or have windows to let in extra light.

2
Patio Heaters!
They keep you warm and add to the decor, a win-win if you ask us. If you’re looking for something a little different, a fire pit would be another way to warm up your winter wedding.
3
Warm Food & Drink!
Whether you have a buffet or a sit-down meal, we can help you set up the perfect crowd-pleasing dishes to warm your guests from the inside-out. We have all the tables, linens, plates, and serving equipment you’ll need for your warm winter event. Think of some of the fun winter dishes you could have….a baked potato bar, a coffee or hot cocoa station, a sampling of soups for an appetizer at a seated dinner…

4
Dance Floor!
What better way for your friends and family to keep warm than to DANCE to some great music? Depending on the size of your party, you might only need an 8×8 dance floor…or maybe you need a 16×20 dance floor! Regardless of the size, it’s sure to be a hit.

Every party needs seating right? (And if it doesn’t need seating, we have cocktail tables for standing).
Check out this quick guide we’ve put together comparing our most popular table and chair rentals!

With Fall officially underway (although the temperatures haven’t been reflecting that this week…), we thought it would be fun to showcase some free Fall printables and give you some ideas for how you could use them at your wedding, corporate event, party, or just in your home or office decor!

Check out this classic leaf print from A Night Owl Blog. Wouldn’t it be perfect as an accent piece on a sign-in table at a wedding, or framed on your mantle at home?

from A Night Owl Blog
Print out these signs and put them in frames surrounded by floating candles or a flower arrangement and you have a nice Autumn centerpiece at the tables for your corporate dinner under one of the tents we have available to rent!

from Tatertots and Jello
This whimsical word art would be a fun way to have guests at your get together sign in (and write what they’re thankful for!) around the border, then frame later OR print out a smaller version for a mini office desk frame to brighten up your workspace.

We love the mention of cozy sweaters in this print by Pitter and Glink! (Maybe this time next week, we’ll all be able to unpack our cozy sweaters to wear!) This would be a sweet print to have on display at a pumpkin or fall themed shower, or how about frame it to display on a table with coffee and pumpkin spice creamer at your fall wedding reception?

Can’t you just smell the leaves in the air and the bonfire and apple cider now?
It’s like love is in the air. 🙂

Of course, if you’re looking for more fall-inspired ideas for your next party, check out our Pinterest boards for inspiration, then give us a call and we’ll help you put everything together so all you have to do is sit back and drink your pumpkin latte!
